from published research to product selection.

what is True Tart™?

True Tart™ is the U.S. tart cherry industry's certification mark identifying products made with a meaningful amount of verified U.S.-grown Montmorency tart cherries. Products displaying the mark meet established program standards for variety, sourcing and ingredient requirements, providing a consistent way to identify products made with verified U.S.-grown Montmorency tart cherries.

why True Tart?™

Much of the published nutrition research has evaluated U.S.-grown Montmorency tart cherries. Yet product labels don't always identify cherry variety or origin, making it difficult for health professionals to determine which products contain the same cherry variety evaluated in much of the published research.
